The Writer

This is the part where I talk about myself, so I'll keep this brief by telling you that I was born on July 25th, 1991 at 10:06 PM in Atlanta, Georgia, where I grew up in the middle-class suburbs north of the city, excelled in school and on the soccer field, earned a scholarship to play for the Virginia Tech Hokies, graduated from the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism, and spent my early 20s traveling through Europe and Latin America, where I discovered my identity as a writer and my dream of telling stories in hopes that others may learn from my experiences, find the courage to follow their passions, and ultimately reconsider their prejudices, priorities, and perspective as I have.

That's me in a nutshell, I guess: just your stereotypical 20-something from the security-blanket bubble of middle-class America, who, upon reaching manhood--and despite being aware of the fact that he owes a considerable portion of his success and experiences to the intrinsic freedom and opportunity granted him by being born within these arbitrary lines that make up the United States--has rejected his native country and culture, chosen Consciousness over Consumerism and Diversity over Division, and adopted an alternate, so-called "third-world" lifestyle built on self-reliance, simplicity, empathy, and sharing.  I guess that about covers it...

In a separate philosophical and ideological sense, it's also important for you to know that I am a huge soccer fan (Visca Barca!), a devout Hip-Hop Head, an experienced traveler with a special affection for South America, a Jeep Wrangler and craft beer enthusiast, and a mostly-introverted individual who spends most of his time sitting, thinking, reading, or writing.  At the links in the sidebar, you'll find more information about my passions and interests, as well as details about my upcoming book, Livin' The Dream, including sample chapters, summaries, and pricing.  Any feedback and support is much appreciated!  Thank you for reading!
